My first blog post as a guest writer about "challenges of learning French"

โœ โ€œHey Jana, would you like to write a blog for me?โ€ Ines from asked me.

๐ŸŽ‰ And tadaa, here it is! My very first blog that I wrote as a guest writer!

jana hofmann coaching, coaching for women, coaching for business women, challenges of learning french, self doubts, self confidence, perfectionism, confidence coach, english speaking coach in paris, expat coach, self esteem

๐Ÿ‘‰ I chose the topic of learning French, or learning a language in general. To me, it was quite a journey to "simply start talking French" once moving to Paris six years ago. Although I have known how to speak French, I somehow did not dare to. The first years in Paris were rather very English ; )

๐Ÿ‘‰ In this article, I write about how learning a new language can be a personal transformation. About whatโ€™s behind learning a language, especially for us grown ups. It can be(come) a much more profound challenge and experience than we might have expected.

๐Ÿ‘‰And it can be surprising: You signed up to learn French (or any other language), instead, there is much more happening to and with you.

๐Ÿ‘‰You realise it is about perfectionism, self confidence, doubts. It is about becoming and exploring a new you. And that's a big change.

๐Ÿ™ Big thank you to Ines from frenchmood-coaching for inviting me to be her blog guest writer and for providing a platform for my ideas and thoughts : )

Ines is a Neurolanguage Coach and a qualified French teacher. Learning French with Ines is not about learning French (and its grammar) in the traditional way. It is about you and your French. It is about interaction, about conversation, about autonomy and confidence. And thatโ€™s the big difference.
