What is between your thought of wanting something and the day it happens ?

Imagine.

It clicks. You understand what you need. What you want. You feel it in your body. You are committed. You want change. You are ready to start.


But there is something in between.


What it is?


Time.

It is time that is between the thought of wanting something and the day it happens.


Months.

Years.


You do not know how long it takes.

Change comes without instructions. Or maybe with one:


There is always time between the thought of wanting something and the day it happens.


It is a true challenge to make it through this “thing in between”. This time in between.

Maybe that’s the biggest chapter. And maybe the main chapter about change.


Change starts because you decide to start.

And then you have to see what happens on the way.

The big challenge is being patient about being in this “grey, blurry zone that might not make sense.

When all you want is just to get to that point. Where you see, feel, are the change.

As fast as possible. As soon as possible.


But change means progress.

And progress means: many small steps.

Means: going slow.

Means: not seeing change right away although it’s slowly happening.

Sometimes there are fallbacks in between.


If you feel disappointed, hopeless.

If you judge yourself or feeling it is your fault. If you feel like you’ll never get there.


Remember:

  • how brave you are to have started


  • how responsible you are to have said “I start now, I want to change something in my life”


  • how caring you are towards yourself deciding to change


  • how curious you are wanting to try out something new


  • how strong you are to be ready to face change

Remember:

  • how confident you are to believe in your thought, into what matters to you


  • how open you are to welcome something new to your life


  • how honest you are to see that something needs to change


Be a little more patient.

And then again.


Remember that it is all about the time between the thought of wanting something and the day it happens.


Try to stay there.

Try to be a little more patient.
